Indications:
LuciErda is a precision oncology medicine that blocks fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR1–4), stopping tumor growth. It is prescribed for,
- Patients with susceptible FGFR3 or FGFR2 genetic alterations.
- Adults with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (bladder cancer).
- Those whose cancer progressed during or following at least one line of platinum-containing chemotherapy.
Dosage:
- Starting Dose: The standard starting dose is 8 mg taken orally once daily.
- Adjustment: After 14 to 21 days, the dose may be increased to 9 mg once daily, based on serum phosphate levels and tolerability.
- How to Take: Swallow whole with water, with or without food.
- Interactions: Patients must avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice, as it can alter the metabolism of the drug.
